Everybody likes getting mail that's not bills right? and while we can chat online, we don't really know any one person that well. So I thought this might be a fun idea.

We know that shipping parcels abroad can be rather expensive, but I know shipping letters and cards across is MUCH MUCH cheaper, so everyone can join in.

How does it work?

* Everyone knows what a penpal is - someone you write to for fun.
* If you're not into handwriting things, typing up a letter is just as good.
* It only takes a spare hour of your time.
* You do not have to reply to your penpal within a set time frame, just when you have a chance, although don't take the piss and leave your penpal sitting with no letter for 6 months 
* You can include little extras in your letters, such a postcards, pictures or something equally as cheap to post.
* I will try and pair people up who live in different countries for the added novelty of recieving mail from abroad. Unless of course people say they want posting limits.
* If you take part, please PM me with your address so I can pass it via PM to your chosen penpal.
* You can sort it our between each other whose going to send the first letter to get the ball rolling.

and thats pretty much how it works.

So I leave it up to you folks to decide if you're in or not.

you sure dude? I posted an xmas card to Canada a couple of weeks ago and it was ony 90p, at the same time I wanted to post juju bisto ages ago and it was gonna cost £45 - I thought US and UK postal prices were pretty similar? no?

I know you fucks have looked at this thread, I can see so in recent topics, come on....I haven't came up with a decent idea in ages and for every member that doesn't sign up, a really hot woman dies.....is that what you want? is it? a world of ugly people just cos you couldn't be bothered to write a letter? assholes.

OK, I'm getting the general vibe that this isn't going to take off, not even if I threaten a world full of ugly people....wbk - tell us something we don't know 

Can I please stress that there is no time frame in which you need to reply to your penpal. If its going to take you more than a couple of months to find the free time, then PM them, I'm sure they'll understand.

I already have a penpal and we don't write more frequently than once every 10 weeks or so, so we always have something to write about.

Think it over, if it just isn't for you, let me know, I understand writing stuff isn't everyones cuppa, expenses, time etc but I need more than 4 people taking part, if I don't raise anymore interest then I'll lock this up and bin it - pretend like it never happened
